Due to the high cost of veterinary care and grooming services, animals living in low income households may not always receive the necessary health care needed to live a happy and comfortable life. Inadequate care can lead to life threatening health problems and animal abandonment.

Why is pet health care necessary?
Having a healthy dog or cat is just as important as having a healthy human. If animals do not receive regular health checkups, such as vaccinations, they can become susceptible to various viruses and diseases that may cause discomfort, chronic pain or in serious
cases, death.
Why should pet owners care about their pet‘s health & wellness?
To keep them healthy & happy! While this might appear to be an obvious answer, some pet owners are not aware of the serious consequences that can come from improper pet care. In Texas, for example, failing to vaccinate
a pet can result in a Class C misdemeanor. Aside from fines, many viral and bacterial diseases can be passed from pets to humans, putting pet owners at risk. Additionally, any animal that comes into contact with a sick pet can also become infected.
Why is pet grooming necessary?
Although many dogs and cats dislike grooming, listening to them fuss over soap and water is better than seeing them suffer in the future. Lack of grooming care can result in matted coats, flea and ticks accumulation, skin conditions, ear and eye infections, and difficulty walking.

After we identified our user and interviewed some animal care places, we came up with some questions that would help form solutions for our user‘s needs.
So what‘s the solution?
Our solution is to provide free pet health care and grooming services to help low income families keep their pets healthy and happy. To do this, we have created a pop-up mobile service, a kiosk, and an application.
Why a pop-up truck?
A pop-up truck will allow us to travel to several cities and it will help fit all the equipment that is needed. Having a pop-up will also allow for an outdoor setup that will give pets the freedom to safely roam outside while they wait their turn.
Why a kiosk?
A kiosk makes for a great temporary station that
can be placed and moved almost anywhere. Kiosks are also a good size for various heights and its large screen makes great space for legible text and clear button usage.
Why an app?
Having an app will allow our clients to track all of our visits and next stops. It is an easy way for clients to book an appointment ahead of time.
