Observe. Think. Create. That is the approach that has driven me to my passion for UI/UX, design research, and branding.
I became a perfectionist at age six after countless attempts to perfect my Hello Kitty coloring book. Coloring outside the lines was a crime in my young mind. It was as bad as seeing “scratch disk is full” pop up on my computer screen. In addition to attempting to execute a polished Hello Kitty, I spent hours drawing various patterns and practicing my handwriting to make it more legible and cohesive. Of course, at age six I did not know words like “legible” or “cohesive”, but I did know I wanted to make everything I created look good. Fortunately, that desire remains with me today, as I still strive to make all my creations visually appealing.
As a visual designer focusing in UX, branding, and design research, my goal is to showcase precise work by understanding user behavior as well as exploring the wants and needs of products and brands. With my drive for design and research, I will continue to gain knowledge on various topics and confidently say I can use Google better than an average non-design person.
If I am not near my laptop researching my users, creating trademarks, or wireframing, you will probably find me attempting to pick up stray dogs and cats. Oh, and lizards too. Animal care has always been one of my passions, as I enjoy researching everything there is to know about them. Whether it is basic care or safe treats, my drive to learn more about different breeds and species only continues to grow.
